Prospect Lake Clean Water Center Main Project
Broward County Project
The City of Fort Lauderdale project shall install approximately 17,600 feet of new water main from the Prospect Lake Clean Water Center to the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant in Fort Lauderdale’s Twin Lakes North neighborhood and through the cities of Tamarac and Oakland Park. The project includes installing a new water main, 48 inches in diameter made from prestressed concrete cylinder pipe and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe utilizing open-cut and trenchless technology. This project will include resurfacing roadways in areas where open-cut construction takes place.

Installation of Pipes
All pipe installation has been completed, and the process of coordinating final
restoration has begun which includes asphalt milling, resurfacing, striping, and landscaping.
Currently traffic remains open and accessible.

Road closures required for pavement work will
take place during nighttime hours to minimize traffic impacts. The specific dates for closure have yet to be determined and will be provided when available.
