The City of Tamarac is here to support residents in achieving and maintaining homeownership. Whether you need down payment assistance to purchase a home or require  repairs to keep your property in top shape, our housing programs are designed to help.

🏛️Funding Sources for the City of Tamarac Housing programs are as follows:

  • ✓ Federal - U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development- Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds and Community Project Funding (CPF).
  • ✓ County/Federal - Broward County Housing Finance and Community Development Division- HOME Funds.
  • ✓ State - Florida Housing Finance Corporation- State Housing Initiatives Program (SHIP) Funds.
  • ✓ Local - Affordable Housing Trust Fund.


Please be advised that funding availability is dependent upon funding award from respective funding sources. Assignment of funding source is determined at income certification of eligible applicants.  
Community Project Funding recipients must attend a commission meeting for award acknowledgement.
