Tamarac, Fla. (Sept. 29, 2025) –The City of Tamarac is pleased to announce that registration is now open for its cherished tradition, the 45th Annual Tamarac Turkey Trot 5K Race. The historic race kicks off on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27, at 7:30 a.m. at Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Ave

In 2024, the beloved Turkey Day race saw a record-breaking 2,500 participants. The City looks forward to continuing this momentum in 2025!

Registration is open to runners, walkers and wheelchair users of all ages. The first 2,000 registrants will receive a 2025 commemorative Tamarac Turkey Trot t-shirt. All attendees wearing a race bib who complete the 5K will receive a medal. Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers and age group winners.

In addition to the race, the event will feature family-friendly activities, including live music, fitness vendors and door prizes. The Turkey Trot not only promotes health and wellness, but also fosters community connections during this special time of year.

Online registration is available at Tamarac.gov/TurkeyTrot until noon Wednesday, Nov. 26, or until all slots are filled. Registration fees are $30 until Thursday, Oct. 30, $35 from Oct. 31 to Nov. 17 and $40 from Nov.18 to 26. Same-day race registration will be unavailable.
