TAMARAC CELEBRATES SPRING WITH A SERIES OF FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENTS

Tamarac SpringfestThe City of Tamarac is thrilled to announce the celebration of spring with six city-wide events. 

 

Tamarac will kick off their spring series on Friday, March 1, with Groove on the Grass- Concert in the Park. Neighbors, families and friends can enjoy a live outdoor concert at Caporella Park, 5200 Prospect Road, from 7-9 p.m. Festivities include musical entertainment from T-Wave, food trucks and inflatable rides! Bring a blanket or lawn chair


Festivities continue with Movie in the Park at Tamarac Park, 7501 N. University Drive, on Friday, March 8, at 6:30 p.m. Guests will view “The Little Mermaid” on a huge inflatable screen. The program includes pre-movie lawn games, inflatable rides and local food trucks offering a variety of tasty delights.


On Saturday, March 16, at 10 a.m., neighbors, family and friends can dive into the Caporella Aquatic Complex, 9300 NW 58th St., for a splashing good time at the Wet & Wild Egg Splash. The egg hunt will be divided by age group for kids 2 to 10 years old. Pre-registration is required online at www.Tamarac.me/EventsEvent admission is $5 per guest. The family-friendly spring series continues with Peter Cottontail’s Springfest. On Saturday, March 23, at 10 a.m., at the Tamarac Sports Complex, 9901 NW 77th St., families can enjoy an outdoor egg hunt for ages 10 and under. The event features face painting, bounce houses and lawn games. Photos of the 2023 Peter Cottontail Springfest are available online.


Guests can enjoy some of South Florida’s tastiest treats as food trucks line up on Food Truck Friday at the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Blvd., Friday, March 29, at 5 p.m. Check it out each month as the food truck roster changes.


Concluding the city-wide March series of events is Hoops Fest. On Saturday, March 30, at 11 a.m., at the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Blvd., basketball enthusiasts are invited to showcase their skills in the 3-point shooting contest. The contest will be divided by age group for young adults 10 to 17 years old. Medals will be awarded to the top three age group winners. Registration is $10 for Tamarac residents and $12 for non-residents. Pre-registration is required online at www.Tamarac.me/WebTrac.
