Hurricane Ian Update: Monday, September 26, 2022 (AM)
Tropical Storm Ian is now Hurricane Ian.
To summarize NOAA’s morning update, while our area currently remains outside the cone of concern, there remains a level of uncertainty within the forecast track. NOAA reports that their confidence will increase once the storm passes Cuba and enters the Gulf.
At this time, heavy rain bands with wind gusts and squalls to near tropical storm force speeds are expected over all of South Florida Tuesday, September 27 through Wednesday, 28. Rainfall flooding and isolated tornadoes are possible across all of South Florida during that time frame. Remember, small changes in the track can still make a BIG difference in impacts across South Florida. Preparation is still key.
Hours of Operation
Please note that Tamarac City Hall, along with all City parks and facilities, will be open and operating under normal business hours on Monday, September 26, 2022.
City Board and Committee Meetings
Currently, all City Board and Committee meetings scheduled for on Monday, September 26 – Tuesday, September 27 will take place as planned.
Tamarac University
Session 4 of Tamarac University will take place as scheduled at Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Avenue, at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, September 27.
Sanitation
