The City of Tamarac's Residential Assistance Program offers support to residents facing financial challenges by covering mortgage, rent, rent hikes and overdue HOA/condo fees, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
During the Wednesday, February 14, Regular City Commission Meeting, the City Commission passed a resolution amending the Spending Plan for the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds of the ARPA allocated to the Community Development Department, Housing Division, to fund single-family weatherization-roof and windows and the Residential Assistance Program to include rental gap assistance, rental assistance, mortgage assistance and HOA/condo fees/assessment assistance.
Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Checks will be made payable directly to the landlord/mortgage company. Applicants must obtain a W-9 form from the landlord/mortgage company for the City to facilitate payments. The programs will remain open until funds are exhausted.
The City of Tamarac encourages all residents facing financial hardships in meeting their mortgage, rent, rent hikes and overdue HOA/condo fees/assessments to take advantage of the Residential Assistance Program.
