🚓 Citizen Observer Patrol (COP)

The Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) provides police services for the City of Tamarac and actively encourages residents to partner in community safety efforts.

What COP Volunteers Do?

  • ✓ Patrol local neighborhoods.
  • ✓ Report suspicious activities or safety hazards.
  • ✓ Assist fellow residents when needed.

How to Get Involved?

🆘 Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

Sponsored by Tamarac Fire Rescue, the CERT program prepares residents to respond effectively during emergency situations in their community.

What CERT Volunteers Learn?

  • ✓ Fire safety practices.
  • ✓ Light search and rescue techniques.
  • ✓ Disaster medical operations.
  • ✓ Team organization and coordination.
  • ✓ Awareness of local hazard risks.

Parks and Recreation volunteers participate in a wide variety of activities including helping seniors, participating in special events, assisting the Parks and Recreation Department and other activities.
