Tamarac, Fla. (April 12, 2022) – Tamarac’s Mayor, Michelle J. Gomez, is teaming up with CareMax Healthcare, to host the “Let’s Move Tamarac” community wellness event, Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Waters Edge Park, 7508 NW 61st St.
Residents are invited to join Mayor Gomez for a fun morning of fitness. At this interactive event, attendees will participate in a variety of workouts to get their hearts pumping. The day will kick-off with a morning warm up with Wendy from PinkBerry Boost, followed by a health walk around the trail, a Zumba class led by fitness instructor Maria, and a cool-down session with Justin from Bod Mod. A variety of outdoor kid’s games and activities will also be available.
Guests who roll up their sleeves to donate blood aboard OneBlood’s Big Red Bus will qualify to receive a $20 electronic gift card. The CareMax Vitals mobile van will also be onsite providing free vision, hearing, heart and lung screenings.
The event will feature music by DJ Raul Vargas, refreshments from Joe Snow Quality Ice and Street Treatz food trucks, plus local healthcare and community vendors.
