TAMARAC, FL – Tamarac Commissioner Krystal Patterson has secured $50,000 in funding to establish the District 3 Residential Assistance Program, an initiative aimed at providing financial relief to residents during tough economic times. The program offers up to $1,000 in assistance for utility bills, HOA and condo fees, and mortgage or rent payments to District 3 residents, with a focus on seniors and public sector employees.
Commissioner Patterson emphasized the importance of making this funding easily accessible to those who need it most.
“This program is about providing financial relief during tough economic times,” said Commissioner Patterson. “We are ensuring that more residents can access these funds without unnecessary obstacles.”
To ensure residents have access to this assistance, Commissioner Patterson will host an in-person application event on March 5, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Tamarac Community Center, Coconut Palm Room, 8601 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, FL 33351. Applicants must reside in District 3 and provide proof of residency to qualify. City staff will be available on-site to assist with applications and answer any questions. Approved funds will be paid directly to the appropriate entity, including mortgage companies, HOAs, rental companies, or utility providers, on behalf of the applicant.
